CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Zavati’s CSR is viewed as a key critical component of the organisation rather than just an afterthought. At the early stage of the company, we adopted the trusteeship concept of management. Simply stated, this requires that part of the wealth we generate, is to be held in trust for our multiple stakeholders. This means investing part of our profits for the larger good of society.
Accordingly, we have institutionalised three (3) key areas of Zavati Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR):
- Healthcare, and
- Community Development
Our CSR strategy
Our projects are executed through the “Zavati Foundation”. The foundation provides the strategic direction, and the thrust areas for our charitable work thereby guaranteeing effective implementation.
Our partners in development are government bodies, NGOs, district authorities, community leaders and the end beneficiaries — the communities.
At the same time, we network and collaborate with like-minded bilateral and unilateral agencies to share ideas, draw from each other’s experiences, and ensure that efforts are not duplicated.
This means funds are channelled appropriately with both management and staff members committing time and resources to the activities.
